He was predeceased by: his parents, George Raymond and Alice Annie Little Pope; his wife Wanda Eckard Pope; and his siblings, Hilma Deal, Mildred Deal and Elbert Pope.
He is survived by: his children, Lisa Atwater (Tom) of Hickory and Michael Pope (Melissa) of Connelly Springs; and his grandchildren, Chris Atwater (Kayla Louttit) of Clearwater, FL, Lindsay Atwater of Taylorsville, Matthew Pope of Raleigh and Markus Pope of Connelly Springs.
