With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gladys Clark Ikard (Hickory, North Carolina), born in Cleveland, North Carolina, who passed away on May 7, 2021 at the age of 81. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Clark Sr. and Georgia Rippy Clark; her husband Loy Ikard; her son Isaac "Mookie" Clark; and her siblings, James Clark Jr. and Joann Shuford.
She is survived by: her children, Michael Ikard, Deborah Hopper of Greensboro, Howard Ikard of Hickory, Carl Douglas Ikard of Hickory and Mae Shuford of Newton; and her siblings, Fred Clark Sr. (Alice) of Hickory, Richard Clark of Hickory, Jerry Clark (Deborah) of Statesville, Vernail Clark of Conover, Betty Robinson of Catawba, Dorothy Bell of Gastonia and Vickie Nixon of Catawba. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, and many other relatives and friends.
