She was predeceased by: her parent William Edgar; and her husbands, Major Clyde Lail and James Cloyd Smith. She is survived by: her parent Julia Hicks Lonon; her sons, Steve Lail (Lisa) of Conover and Jeff Smith of Hickory; her grandchildren, Stephanie Carroll (Martin) of Hickory, Lyndsay Bui (Jon) of Holly Springs, Devon Gantt (Blake) of Hickory and Zach Smith of Hickory; her great grandchildren, Ethan Carroll (Heather) of Hickory, Lacy Dula (Dustin) of Hickory, Eli and Ian Bui of Holly Springs; her great great grandchildren, Cooper Carroll of Hickory and Eviejoe Carroll of Hickory; and her sister Jean Patton of Morganton.
