She was predeceased by: her parents, Grover Franklin and Thelma Leona Sipe Childers; her husband Fred Martin; and her siblings, Frank, David Childers, Jewell Coulter, Lora Childers and Kim Leigh Childers.

She is survived by: her siblings, Tony Childers (Sherlene), Kevin Childers, Katie Childers, Ruie Jones (Adrian), Cheryl Sigmon and Tinita Stoker (Scott); and her aunt Ann Sipe. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hickory Bible Church Missions fund, 909 US Hwy 70, SW, Hickory, NC 28602.
