He was predeceased by: his parents, William B. Dempsey and Myrtle Freedline Dempsey; and his daughter Melissa Dempsey. He is survived by: his wife Robin Howard Dempsey; and his children, Kevin Dempsey (Melanie), Brian Dempsey (Tarlanda), James Dempsey (Heather) and Heather Mullins. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
