He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest T. Carswell and Jennie Chapman Carswell; his brother Thomas J. Carswell; and his nephew Eric Lee Carswell. He is survived by: his wife Judy Price Carswell; his son Cliff William Carswell (Kimberly) of Roanoke, VA; his brothers, John William Carswell (Priscilla) of Robinsville, NC, Joseph E. Carswell of Hildebran, NC and Albert L. Carswell (Terrie) of Maiden, NC; and his grandchildren, Coty Shane Stilwell, Tiffany Lea Carswell (D. J. Carswell) and Hailey Brooke Carswell.
