He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Hughes and Julie McMahan Hughes; and his sister Maryanne Bruce. He is survived by: his wife Janie Hughes; his children, Jason Hughes (Jennifer) of Mooresville and Jessica Hughes Wagner (Nick Wagner) of Austin, TX; his grandchildren, Jenavieve Hughes and Eleanor Wagner; his siblings, Brenda Silver, Jeanette Silver, Johnny Hughes (Betty), Bud Hughes (Patsy) and Tim Hughes (Margaret); and his siblings-in-law, Ron Workman and Georgette Workman. He is also survived by friends.
