He was predeceased by: his parent Ruth Conley; and his wife Annie Bell Conley. He is survived by: his children, James Edward Conley Jr. (Betty) of Claremont, NC, Jonathan Conley of Jacksonville, FL, Joseph, Jessie, Jason Conley of Hickory, NC, Jenia Wylie (Kerry) and Julia Foust. He is also survived by 21 grandchildren, 52 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great granddaughter.
