It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Harry McClure (Hickory, North Carolina), who passed away on September 14, 2019, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his daughter Shelby Jean McClure; and his sisters, Mildred Earney and Livinia Shedd. He is survived by: his wife Peggy Isenhour McClure; his children, Renee Setzer and James "Jimmy" McClure, Jr. of Hickory; his stepson Thomas Michael Elmore (Xiaorong) of Connelly Springs; his grandchildren, Jamie Todd McClure (Melanie) of Granite Falls, Pamela Friday (Tim) of Kings Mountain, Charity Beener (David) of Gastonia and Misty Chick of Kings Mountain; his stepgranddaughters, Anya Elmore of Hickory and Olga Poovey (Brad) of Hickory; his brother Mitch McClure (Nancy) of Dallas; and his brother-in-law Pete Earney. He is also survived by 11 great grandchildren, one great great grandson.
