It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Janie Marie Price Merkle (Hickory, North Carolina), who passed away on January 4, 2020, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her mother Lelia Price Rebuck; her husband Steve Merkle Sr.; and her half-sister Carol Sue Rebuck. She is survived by: her daughter Debra Price of Hickory; her granddaughters, Misty Bell (Richard) and Kayla Shull (Johnathan); her great grandchildren, Lydia, Emmry Bell, Luke and Maverick Shull; and her pet Sparky.

In lieu of flowers the family respectfully requests that memorial contributions be made to Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care, 902 Kirkwood Ave NW, Lenoir, NC 28645.
