He is survived by: his son Jim B Armstrong Jr. (Susan); his close friend Allyson Armstrong of Hickory, NC; his grandchildren, Jackie A Grindstaff (Jodie) and Aspen A. Brown (Jay); his great grandchildren, Scout, Huckleberry Brown, Grayson Grindstaff, Landry Armstrong Barnes, Lennox A, Georgia A Barnes and Beau W Benfield; his daughter Allyson; and his granddaughter Laura.
