It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joann Griesmer (Hickory, North Carolina), who passed away on September 10, 2019, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Samuel Kazee and Sylvia Kazee; her husband Don Griesmer; her siblings, Margaret Drenner of Gadsden, AL, Shirley Clower of Gadsden, AL, Letia Workman, Marilyn Perry of Spartanburg, SC and Paul Kazee of Huntington, WV.; her grandsons, Jason Herald (Laura) of Newton and Adam Herald (Heather) of Granite Falls; her daughter-in-law Andra Herald Llyod of Charleston, WV; her great grandchildren, Madison Herald of Raleigh, Hannah Herald of Newton, Chloe Herald of Granite Falls and Zoey Herald of Granite Falls; her son Darrell Herald; and her siblings, Norma Jean Bates, Barbara Jane Browning, Sharon Kay Willingham, Max Wayne Kazee, Charles Lane Kazee, Jerry Douglas Kazee, Sam Logan Kazee Jr. (Butch) and Larry Dale Kazee. She was also cherished by grandchildren and great grandchildren.
