He was predeceased by: his parents, Wade Reece and Ella Mae Reece; and his wife Anne Aderholdt Reece. He is survived by: his children, Dr. Neil Reece (Lora Beth) of Wesley Chapel, FL, James Reece (Amanda) of Grand Junction, CO, Bradley Reece (Trina) of Conover, NC, Carol Ann Keller (Scott) of Hickory, NC, Sharon Buckner of Hickory, NC, Marc Swann (Beth) of Matthews, NC and Betsy Swann of Hickory, NC; his grandchildren, Hannah Reece, Charlee Joel Reece, Matthew Keller, Katelyn Riddle (Dylan), Hayley Tousignant (Zach), Callie Buckner, Ansley Swann and Davis Swann; and his sisters, Geneva Dangar, Laverne Bates and Eloise Phillips. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions and reduced seating capacity, the service will be livestreamed on Bass-Smith Funeral Home's Facebook page.
