With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Stanley Stacks of Hickory, North Carolina, who passed away on October 1, 2020 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Stanley Stacks and Eva Dopczyle Stacks; his wife Teresa E. Stacks; and his sons, Rudy J. Miller and Paul J. Miller.

He is survived by: his daughter-in-law Marie A. Miller of Newton; his grandchildren, Keith A. Miller (Michelle), Carla M. Miller, Kurt J. Miller and Craig Miller; and his great grandchildren, Makana, Colson, Peyton and Kenzi.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Alexander County Hospice, 50 Lucy Echerd Lane, Taylorsville, NC 28681, Grace Team of Newton Caregivers, 21 E A St, Newton, NC 28658, or to the charity of one's choice.
