It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jonny Ray Parker (Hickory, North Carolina), born in Brooklyn, New York, who passed away on December 24, 2020, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Lightnigbond and Annie Lee Parker Derr; his children, Tony Sloan and Jessica Parker; his sister Peggy Ann Derr; and his stepfather Emory Derr.
He is survived by: his wife Rosie Ussery Parker; his sons, Johnny Maurice Miles of Hickory, N. C. and Richard Parker of Detroit, Michigan; his stepdaughters, Valerie Henderson of Hickory, N. C. and Marion Henderson of Hickory, N. C.; and his grandchildren, Jkira Henderson of Hickory, Sage Henderson of Greensboro, N. C., Tarajhi Parker of Hickory, N. C. and Tamia Sloan of Hickory, N. C.. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
