He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin Haberthier and Hazel Haberthier; and his granddaughter Meghan Bagley. He is survived by: his children, Laura Bagley of Athens, Lisa Foote of Charleston, SC, Joseph Haberthier Jr. of Winston Salem, NC and Leslie Shaw of Hickory, NC. He is also survived by his seven siblings and many nieces and nephews.
