With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Josephine (Jose) Mays Spencer of Hickory, North Carolina, born in Alexander, North Carolina, who passed away on May 16, 2021 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lummy Mays and Annalou Laxton Mays; her husband Adam Enoch Spencer Jr.; her son Roger Dale Spencer; and her great grandchild Taiven Canipe.
She is survived by: her sons, Dennis Allen Spencer (Carla) of Vale and Duane Eric Spencer (Lynn) of Conover; her brother Glenn Mays of Hickory; her grandchildren, Buffy Greene (Jason) of Conover, Eric Spencer (Laura) of Hickory, Dana Spencer, John Davis of Hickory, Josh Spencer and Kristy Fox of Hickory; and her great grandchildren, Jadison Greene and Brycen Davis. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
