She is survived by: her son Colby Shumate (Sara) of Hickory; her brother Glenn Freeman (Ruth) of Hickory; her grandson Austin Shumate of Hickory; her niece Brandy Thompson (Graham) of Hickory; and her great-nieces and great-nephews, Hunter, Dayton and Mason.
