She was predeceased by: her parents, Lemuel Atkins and Nora Atkins; her husband Harold Edwin McGillen Jr.; and her siblings, Curtis, Coy, Lloyd, Paul Atkins, Mabel Dillon, Ruth Henderson and Vivian Hoelle.

She is survived by: her children, Wayne McGillen (Shirley) and Karen Yount (Mike) of Debra McIntosh. She is also survived by three grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association at 225 N. Michigan Ave. FL. 17, Chicago, IL 60601.
