He was predeceased by: his parents, Carlee Brittain and Ola McCaslin; and his brothers, Dean Brittain, Carl Jr. Brittain and Arthur Brittain.
He is survived by: his daughters, Beth Brittain and Deborah Brittain Hayes (Chuck Hayes) of Lincolnton; his sister Donna Brittain Whitener of Hickory; his grandchildren, Keisha Kirk-Hillard of Salisbury and Leslie Brannon of Conover; and his great grandchildren, Ethan Hollar, Kayla Hollar, Addison Hollar and Jaydan Kirk. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
