She was predeceased by: her parents, Lewis Edward Vernon and Edith Jane Gnagy; her husband Gerald Ray Kanupp; and her great grandchildren, James and Cecilia Hatherley.
She is survived by: her sisters, Gale Jackson, Norma Ward (Joe) and Linda Cunningham; her children, Sherry Hatherley (Edward), Scott Kanupp (Melissa), Steven Kanupp (Emily), Stefanie Robinson (Mark) and Shannon Wallace (Michael); and her sisters-in-law, Maxine Hildebran, Katharine Crawley (Floyd) and Doris Kanupp. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Burke Hospice, at 1721 Enon Road, Valdese, NC 28690 and Bethel Evangelical and Reformed Church.
