She was predeceased by: her husband Horace Herman; her sisters, Selma Huffman and Wanda Herman; her daughters, Peggy Phillips and Carolyn Alexander; and her great grandchild McKinsey Pleasants.
She is survived by: her brother Charles Bolick (Melissa) of Hickory; her son-in-law Jim Alexander of Smyrna, Georgia; and her granddaughters, Leigh Mingus of Denver and Miranda Phillips of Raleigh. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
