She was predeceased by: her parents, James Martin Hopkins and Mattie Lay Hopkins; her husband Marvin Snead Edwards, Sr; her siblings, Doc, Sloan, Howard, Ed Hopkins, Lillian Alexander, Ella Mae Holland and Betty Alexander; and also Susan E. Stimson.
She is survived by: her son Marvin Snead "Eddie" Edwards, Jr (Sandra) of Hickory, NC; her son-in-law Todd F. Stimson of Arlington, TX; her son James C. Edwards (Teresa) of Boone, NC; her grandchildren, Matthew D. Edwards (Inna), Jonathan D. Edwards (Luli), Kristin S. Ziglar (Marty), Stewart E. Stimson (Yunior), Melissa E. Boone (Adam) and Emily E. Green (Brett); her great grandchildren, Sydney Z. League (Dan), Lincoln J. Boone, Scarlett V. Green and Llewyn T. Edwards; and her sisters, Myra Stroud, Ruth Morris and Geraldine Hughes. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
