She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel Sanford Brooks and Verdie Ollis Brooks; her husband Ray Baker Workman; and her siblings, Paul Brooks, Lula Mae Key and Faye Brooks.

She is survived by: her sons, Donald of Hickory, Kenneth of Hickory, Jerry of Hickory and Ray Workman of Hickory.
