He was predeceased by: his parents, Mack Saxton Sr. and Pearlie Mae Leach Saxton; and his brothers, Charles and James Saxton. He is survived by: his daughters, Cheri Coulter (Chris) of Raleigh, N. C. and Akeshia Saxton of Toledo; his grandchildren, Malasia Sherrill of Conover, N. C., Mariah Alcaraz of Raleigh, N. C. and Keyston Saxton of Toledo; his great grandchildren, Mason Lindsey of Conover, N. C. and Sariah Saxton of Toledo; his siblings, Dorothy Hopper of Hickory, N. C., Flossie Saxton of Hickory, N. C. and John "Pudd" Saxton of Taylorsville, N. C.; and his friend Steve "Bubba" McCorkle of Hickory, N. C. He is also survived by nieces, nephews.
