She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Glenn Abernethy, Sr. and Lovie Miller Abernethy; her husband Fred R. Lail, Sr.; and her brother-in-law Elmer Troutman. She is survived by: her son Fred R. Lail, Jr. (Mary Ann Mondon) of Greensboro, NC. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
