With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Marvin Chapman of Hickory, North Carolina, who passed away on July 22, 2020 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Pete Chapman and Dorothy Lee Dennis Chapman; his wife Nancy James Chapman; and his siblings, Bud Chapman and Beatrice Pennell.
He is survived by: his daughters, Michelle Bumgarner (Allen) of Hickory and Angela Hughes of Hickory; his siblings, Ellen Chapman of Taylorsville, Louise Chapman of Taylorsville and Ronald Chapman (Beverly) of Hickory; his grandchildren, Dallas Hughes and Laney Bumgarner; and his friend Julia Stallings. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
