She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles W. Lane and Ruth Marlowe Lane; her husband Hampton Schell; her former husband Gurney A. Steelmon; her sons, Aaron G. Steelmon (Timothy W. Steelmon) and Eugene Lane (Richard F. Lane); and her siblings, Irene E. Cumbee and Hardin.
She is survived by: her son Allan Randall "Randy" Steelmon of Hickory, NC; her stepson Stanley A. Schell of Missouri; her daughter-in-law Beth Steelmon of Hickory, NC; her grandchildren, Brian Steelmon (Danette) of Elon, NC, Jody Davis (Adam) of Mebane, NC, Emily Keck (Page) of Mebane, NC, Joshua Steelmon (Melissa) of Lincolnton, NC, Jeremy, Rebecca, Michael Steelmon of Hickory, NC and Stanley Schell Jr. (Stacie) of Maiden, NC; her great grandchildren, Zackery, Justus, Georgia Steelmon, Aeryal Ceaser, Cameron Davis, Triston, Ella Keck, Maverick Steelmon, Dana, Taylor and Andrea Schell; and her close friend Ruby Williams of Easton, MD.
