She was predeceased by: her parents, Gaither Columbus and Lula Jane Wright; and her husband Jack Marvin Whitener. She is survived by: her grandchildren, Krista Whitener (Tommy Williamson) of Hickory, N. C., Rebecca Riddle (Randy) of Blowing Rock, N. C., Mary Elizabeth Joseph (Joe) of Winston-Salem, N. C., Challen McRee (Marc) of Hickory, N. C., Jason Whitener (Kelly) of Winston-Salem, NC and Katie Beach (Michael) of Winston-Salem, NC.; and her great grandchildren, Reilly, Cooper, Mary-Kathryn Riddle, Lucy, Libby Joseph, Taytum Robbins, Maddox, Jackson, Cruz, Beckham McRee, Evie Kate, Emma, Will, Walker Beach, Wynne, Elsie and Annie Whitener.
