She was predeceased by: her father John Henry Dempsey. She is survived by: her mother Mary Ann Gillespie Dempsey; her brother John R. Blevins (Christina) of Hickory, NC; her sibling's children, Megan Jones (Joseph), Elijah Dempsey and Miranda Dempsey; and her great-niece Aayla Jones of Connelly Springs.
