He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Newell Heavner and Metta Travis Heavner; and his sister Billie H. Sigmon. He is survived by: his wife Sue Ester Heavner; his daughter Crystal Wright (Richard) of Lenoir; his foster son Khanh Nguyen (Hanh) of Newton; his grandchildren, Courtney Clinard (Luther), Haley and Michael Nguyen; his great grandchild Lawson Clinard; and his siblings, Peggy Davis (Glenn) of Hickory, Patricia "Pat" Hedrick (Joe) of Hickory, Almieta Helton of Taylorsville, Judy Lutz of Hickory, Ralph Dale Heavner of Claremont and Randy Heavner of Claremont. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
