He is survived by: his wife Lynn White Owens; his daughter Abbey Owens; his friend Charlie; his sister Lori Abernathy (Hal) of Granite Falls; his aunts and uncles, Alline Annas of Granite Falls, Shirley Jones (R. G.) of Asheville, Alice Beal (Wayne) of Newton, Anne Howell (Carl) of Cedar Bluff, VA, Dwayne Owens (Becky) of Mooresville, Hugh White (Jessie) of Bostic, NC and Paul White (Becky) of Boiling Springs, NC; his brother-in-law Tim White (Kathy) of Marion, NC; his sibling's children, Lauren Elaine Owens, Katie Owens, Carli Owens, Clara Soundara, Nae, Carrie Cornett, Robbie, Chrisa Johnson, Sam, Emma Sinclair, David and Elizabeth White; and his close friends, Terry Coffey, Thomas Murphy, Roger Smith, Scott Hubbs, Coach Wayne Kirby, Karl Moses, Darrell Pritchard, Henry "Bulldog" Patterson and Clyde Dameron.
