She is survived by: her husband Melvin Jones Sherrill; her brothers, Billy, Junior and Bobby Yates; her children, Ron Sherrill (Cyndy) and Dyan Mercer (Jimmy); her siblings, Glenn, Jerry Yates, Pauline Bivens and Barbara Ramsey; her grandchildren, Scott Wade, Gina Patterson, Donnie Cannon II and Candace Grooms; and her great grandchildren, Brittany Grooms, Chase Cannon, Macy Cannon and Dillon Staton.
