She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Vernon Powell and Ann Powell; her children, Sandy Van Dyke (Debbie) of Conover, Sheila Taylor (Mike) of Hickory and Daphne Lomax (Lynn) of High Point; her siblings, Betty Berry of Drexel and Bob Powell of Valdese; her sister-in-law Sylvia Powell of Newton; her husband Jack Van Dyke; her son Gary Van Dyke; her granddaughter Angela Brown; her stepfather Lewis Watts; and her siblings, Vera Ayers and Marion Powell. She was also cherished by 8 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Warlicks Baptist Church at 2684 Warlicks Church Rd, Connelly Springs, NC 28612.
