He was predeceased by: his parents, Carroll Coleman Mangum and Macie Winifred Mangum; his brother Richard Mangum; and his sibling's child Marti Mangum Young. He is survived by: his wife Betty Hildebran Mangum; his daughters, Carol Elaine Duke (Randy) of Burlington and Paula Mangum Icard of Valdese; his grandchildren, Corey Howard, Whitney Michaels, Bradley Young, Brycen Young, Coleman Eagle and Gunnar Duke; and his great grandchildren, Lydia and Brylee.
