It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Raleigh Beryl Beard of Hickory, North Carolina, who passed away on June 18, 2021, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Luther Martin Beard and Mary Lou White Beard; his wife Betty Ruth Hawn Beard; his son Robert Lee Beard; and his siblings, Hal Lee Beard, Earl Clay Beard, Helen Louise Beard Deitz and Mildred Marie Beard Moore.
He is survived by: his son David Beryl Beard Sr. (Sherry); his grandchildren, David Beard Jr., Greg Beard, Angela Beard, Sam Beard and Deidra Chennupalli; his great grandchildren, Taylor, Abriana, Dhruv, Suhana, Grayson, McKinley and Jackie; his daughter-in-law Teresa Beard; and his nephew Bill Beard.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Zion Lutheran Church, 1911 Zion Church Road, Hickory, NC 28602.
