It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ray Allen Yount of Hickory, North Carolina, who passed away on August 28, 2021, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Reuben Hubert Yount and Lora Morrison Yount; and his wife Agnes Bell Yount. He is survived by: his siblings, Margaret L. Yount of Hickory and Paul M. Yount (June) of Hickory; his nephews, David Yount of Bakersville and Mickey Yount of Hickory; and his great-nephew Casey A. Yount of Hickory.
