We are sad to announce that on July 18, 2020, at the age of 85, Richard Blain Barger (Hickory, North Carolina), born in Catawba, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry McKinley and Nellie Bost Barger; and his siblings, Lois Arrowood, Burnell Clontz, Betty Jean Martin, Jessie Lee Barger, Cecil Barger, Everett Barger and Ray Barger.
He is survived by: his wife Jeanette Matthews Barger; his sons, Ricky Barger of Charlotte and Danny Barger of Lenoir; his granddaughters, Jennifer Barger of Hudson and Samantha Barger of Lenoir; and his great grandchildren, Bradley Barger, Andrew Barger, Mason Kidd of Hudson and Chloe Kidd of Hudson.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Peace United Church of Christ at 2230 29th Ave Dr. NE, Hickory, NC 28601.
