He is survived by: his son Richard Hoover Jr. (Martha) of Hickory; his grandchildren, Latasha Hoover of Hickory, Shandra Connor (Martell) of Hickory, Bryan Hoover (Yolanda) of Hickory and Darius Hoover of Hickory; his great grandchildren, Marcus Hoover of Hickory, Brayden Hoover of Hickory, Gabriella Hoover of Hickory, Peyton Hoover of Hickory, Makaden Hoover of Hickory and McKenzie Connor of Hickory; his sister Evelyn Hoover of Hickory; and his nephews, James Tillman Jr. and Thomas Hoover of Hickory. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends.
