He is survived by: his wife Willa Jean Hughes Patton; his children, Kim Long (Wayne) of Hickory, Kelly Killian (Marty) of Hickory, Robby Patton (Marla) of Conover, Jason Patton (Lisa) of Valdese, Angie Tate (Darrin) of Lincolnton and Eric Owens (Chris) of Lincolnton; and his pet Nugget. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren.
