He is survived by: his wife Hilda Clay Taylor; his children, Kimberly Wike (Steven) of Catawba, Richard Taylor (Terri) of Hickory and Clay Taylor (Sandy) of Conover; his siblings, Anne Williams of Hickory, Martha Powell (Larry) of Conover, Milly May of Hickory, Edward Taylor Sr. (Lydia) of Ellicott City and Donald Taylor (Pat) of Hildebran; his grandchildren, Dillon Wike (Ashley), Audrey Wike, Heather Gilmore, Christopher Beach and David Taylor; and his great grandchildren, Emma Grace Caroline Wike, Daniel Silas Wike, William Gilmore, Maddie Burgess and Gabe Gilmore.
