It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rose Marie Alexander McCray of Hickory, North Carolina, born in Catawba, North Carolina, who passed away on November 9, 2021, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Fannie Mae Hamby and I. G. Alexander; her husband Elbert G. McCray; and her brother Sonny Leo Alexander. She is survived by: her sons, Tom McCray (Margaret) of Gastonia and James McCray of Charlotte; her grandsons, Alex McCray (Heather) of Troy, MI and Michael McCray of Raleigh, NC; and her brother Larry Alexander of Bethlehem, NC. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
