She was predeceased by: her parents, Plezz Hinson Sr. and Katie Vess Hinson; her husband Cecil H. Cook Sr.; and her siblings, Willie Hinson, Plezz Henson Jr., James Henson and Lucille Anthony.

She is survived by: her children, Cecil H. Cook Jr. (Diana) of Claremont and Nancy Cook of Newton; her brother Jimmie Hinson of Newton; her grandchildren, Donna Pope, Tracy Dillingham (Jeff), Lori Cook (Aubie), Chad Cook (Angie) and Katie Pope Twenty; and her great grandchild Seventeen. She is also survived by Seventeen Great-Great-Grandchildren.
