It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Satsu Wiggins of Hickory, North Carolina, who passed away on August 17, 2021, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Chiyokichi Sato and Kiyosi Watanabe; her husband James H. Wiggins; and her daughter Linda Keiko Akins. She is survived by: her daughter Jo Ann Ripley (David); her grandchildren, Christopher Wiggins of San Antonio, TX, Alyshia Powell (Troy) of Lithia Springs, GA, Lisa Potter of Blountville, TN and Jeremiah Ripley (Dorothy Buff); her great grandchildren, Jade Wiggins, Cameron Stahl, Tyler Ripley, Amber Byrd, Tori Wiggins, Chandler Smith, Cyle Smith, Catherine Neighbors, Logan Wiggins, Shea Wiggins, Layney Potter and Abby Potter; and her great great grandchild Ezra Byrd.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Wounded Warrior Project in Satsu's name.
