Savannah Hodge Washburn Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Savannah Hodge Washburn (Hickory, North Carolina), who passed away on May 15, 2020, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Henry Hodge Sr. and Amanda Little Hodge; her husband Dwight Washburn; and her siblings, Catherine Hodge, Johnnie May Rhinehart and Ted "Teco" Hodge.
She is survived by: her son Christopher Scott Washburn of Hickory, NC; her grandchildren, Stetson Johnson of Valdese, NC, Chris Lightner of Raleigh, NC, Julian Washburn of Houston, TX, Chris Washburn Jr. of Houston, TX, Davon Richardson of Hickory, NC and Montavia Richardson of Hickory, NC; her great grandchildren, Josiah and Paisley; her brother Richard Hodge; her sister-in-law Sue Hodge; and her daughter-in-law Monique Richardson. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members and friends.
She also volunteered at the Hickory Soup Kitchen for over ten years before retiring in 2011 due to Alzheimer's.
