She is survived by: her sons, John Whitfield Sparger III (Sofie) of Lawrenceville, GA and Chris Walling (Angela) of Pinehurst, NC; her grandchildren, Madison Walling of Washington, DC, Nolan Walling of Anderson, SC and Sydney Sparger of Lawrenceville, GA; her brother Gordon Dawson (Susan) of Lithia, FL; and her pet Otis.

In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to New Life Church, The Life House, 4639 County Home Road, Conover, NC 28613.
