She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Sheiman McSwain and Docia McSwain; her daughter Connie Denise Starnes; her husband Oscar Woodrow Funderburke Jr.; her children, Linda Darlene Funderburke and Dennis Eugene Funderburke; her grandchildren, Christopher Yoder, Sarah Paulson, Emily Hopely, Brian Funderburke and Andrew Funderburke; and her sisters, Janice McSwain Cabaniss and Marcelle McSwain Hamrick. She was also cherished by numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the East Hickory Baptist Church at 130 16th St SE, Hickory, NC 28602.
