He is survived by: his mother Rebecca Cloer Adkins; his wife Rita Darnell Adkins; his children, William Tyler Adkins of Hickory, Aaron Matthew Adkins (Katy) of Hudson and Heather Danielle Adkins of Port Charlotte, Florida; and his grandsons, Jacob Cook, Brent Crews and Abel Adkins.
