She was predeceased by: her parents, Ora Wesley Miles and Margaret Lucille Miles; her sisters, Doris Knox and Patrice M. Williams; and her nephew Edgar Miles.
She is survived by: her daughter Tina Miles of Hickory; her siblings, Thomas Miles (Anita) of Hickory, Mervin Miles (Glenda) of Atlanta, Alvin "Sherwood" Miles (Carla) of Greensboro and Phyllis Taylor of Hickory; her grandchildren, Joseph Brown, III of Hickory and Janaria Nash (Dyrell) of Mint Hill; her great grandchildren, Dyrell Nash, Jr. and DyJavien Nash; her children, Michelle Odum, Al Henry and Joseph Brown, II; her siblings' children, Samantha McDaniel, William Todd Miles and Johnny Miles; and her great-nephew Aaron Miles. She is also survived by nephews, nieces, cousins, aunts and uncles.
