She was loved and cherished by many people including: her children, Jessica Whitson (Darian) of Hickory and Steven Spencer of Bethlehem; her mother Virginia Duvall of Conover; her sister Jennifer Spencer (Ken); her grandchildren, Brook Whitson of Hickory, Jasmine Spencer of Bethlehem, Rina Spencer of Bethlehem and D. J. Whitson of Hickory; and her sibling's children, Regan Spencer and Rex Spencer of Bethlehem.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her name to the Salvation Army, 750 3rd Ave. Pl., S.E., Hickory, N.C. 28602.
